Windows 7 Tablet is still around

Since all the attention was on the Apple iPad, everyone seems to have forgotten about the HP’s Windows 7 tablet. Well, good news as HP claims the thought of having a Windows 7 tablet is not dead yet. As a matter of fact, HP’s Windows 7 tablet is now called the HP Slate 500 tablet and the news was spread around thanks to a tech site who noticed the product’s availability on HP’s official site.

Famous online tech site, Engadget contacted the brand which in turn confirmed that indeed, the HP Slate 500 is in the making but it’s still in the “customer evaluations” process. This could mean that there’s a possibility of this product releasing into the market or if HP is not satisfied with it, the company will just cancel the HP Slate 500 tablet.

In other words, the whole thing could still be scrapped. But there’s a chance that HP might bring this thing to market, which would probably explain why someone bothered to go through the trouble of adding some images and details to the HP web site this week.
