This flat panel TV features Motionflow™ 240Hz refresh rate technology for motion detail and clarity, broadband internet connectivity with built-in BRAVIA internet video capabilities that lets users view select on-demand movies, TV shows, music and more; personalize entertainment experience by selecting and positioning widgets containing the latest news, weather, sports and more directly on the TV screen; BRAVIA Engine™ 3 digital video processor and advanced power saving features. The Sony KDL-52XBR9 also supports 7 HD inputs (4 HDMI™, 2 component and 1 PC). The BRAVIA Internet Video and BRAVIA widgets features on this model require the television to be connected to an internet service for activation. The Sony KDL-52XBR9 also supports 16:9 Full HD 1080p Resolution Panel (1920×1080) that accepts any high definition video signal and renders it with optimum resolution, allowing users to take full advantage of Blu-ray Disc™ players and Sony® PLAYSTATION®3 entertainment systems that can deliver 1080p content; personalize viewing experience by selecting, positioning, and resizing widgets on the BRAVIA HDTV display. BRAVIA Internet Widgets are small applications that can be accessed with the touch of one button providing users with the latest in news, weather, stock info, and much more right on the BRAVIA XBR9-Series; USB connectivity to view photos, music, and video, letting users connect camera, USB-enabled MP3 player, or USB storage device directly to the HDTV’s USB input to view photos on the big screen or control latest music playlist. The Sony KDL-52XBR9 also include MPEG2 video file support, so users can go straight from shooting video to screening it over USB; seven HD connection options such as HDMI™ inputs (up to 1080/60p capable) that lets users connect a Sony® PlayStation®3 entertainment system, Blu-ray Disc™ player, or any other HDMI-capable equipment and get uncompressed digital video and multi-channel digital audio on a single cable, an HD combo input, which includes HD component (1080/60p capable) and composite inputs, which provide added HD-capable connectivity, and a PC input4 (HD-15 pin) that allows users to use the HDTV as a computer monitor.
