Sharp LC40E77U - 1
The 40-inch LC40E77U LCD Full 1080p HDTV is aimed to provide consumers with increased video performance and energy efficiency in a design that features Sharp’s 10-bit Superlucent Advanced Super View (ASV) panel for bright and crisp picture with reduced haze and reflectivity. It features Sharp’s Multi-Pixel Technology that provides users with natural and accurate color reproduction when viewing the screen from any angle. This technology optimizes extreme-angle viewing by approximately 60 percent. With 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution Full HD 1080p view, the unit has 1.5 times more scanning lines than conventional HD TVs, giving more pixels, details and optimizes the picture. The 1080p panel uses high-speed liquid crystal to cut response time to 6ms. The fast response time keeps images smooth especially in the midst of high-speed motion. The Superlucent panel applies a finish that minimizes gloss while optimizing panel brightness and contrast. It also includes Fine Motion Enhanced technology for 120 Hz Frame Rate Conversion and a dejudder feature that reduces background motion artifacts on Blu-ray movies, pixel response time of 4ms (milliseconds), and viewing angles of 176 degrees that allows users to view the television from anywhere in the room. The ASV panel with Spectral Contrast Engine XD (Extreme Dark) provides a high dynamic contrast ratio, enabling deep blacks and vibrant colors, and a dejudder feature which results in reproduction of film content. Two components of Sharp’s Spectral Contrast Engine: Optical Picture Control (OPC) which is a sensor on all Sharp AQUOS LCD HDTVs that, when activated, will automatically raise or lower the brightness level of the TV to match the ambient lighting in a room. OPC automatically adjusts its brightness level for optimized viewing by the user and features a dedicated Power Savings button that allows users to set the Power Saving level that can result in decreased overall power consumption and increased backlight lifespan; and Brightness Preservation picture processing. The LC40E77U exceed the EPA’s ENERGY STAR certification requirement by at least 15 percent. The LC40E77U comes equipped with an array of connectivity options, including five HDMI (version 1.3 with Deep Color and 24p input capability) and two component video inputs, all of which are 1080p compatible, accepting signals from Blu-ray and advanced gaming devices.
