The Samsung PN50B550 is a 50-inch Plasma technology (PDP) design Full HD ready TV with high image aspect ratio of 16:9, along with Samsung’s Wide Color Enhancer 2 feature that provides more natural colour images, plus it comes with a resolution of 1920-by-1080-pixels for enhancing its picture quality. It also feature Samsung’s E-panel technology like the Ultra FilterBright Plus antiglare screen, 600Hz Subfield Motion, real movie with 24 frames per second, 0.001 response time, and a Mega dynamic contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 that delivers sharp images, crystal clear details for fast-moving scenes with extra realism and vivid colour. The Samsung PN50B550 is available in black colour enclosure, along with Samsung’s TOC (Touch of Color) unique look which offers a red translucent colour edges blended with its black frame, and it can sits on a stand that gives it a versatile swivel function or mount it to a wall. It also comes with SRS TruSurround HD sound technology, right and left channel bottom speakers, Anynet function, Internet TV capability, used an eco-friendly technology with up to 50% less power consumption than other Plasma product and also has Tri-lingual on-screen display menu which consist of English, Spanish, and French languages.

The Samsung PN50B550 features a screen size of 50-inch wide screen Plasma TV and resolution of 1920-by-1080-pixels (Full HD ready) combined with Samsung’s E-panel Technology which includes the FilterBright Plus panel anti-glare technology that minimized glaring images and maximized on its contrast for perfect viewing either during the day or night. It also reduces reflections, maintaining ultra-high picture contrast, plus also providing rich blacks and realistic shadow detail of the picture. The E-panel technology also comes with 600Hz Subfield Motion for clear motion pictures, a fast response time of 0.001ms that can minimizes blurring of fast motion in sports programs and movie content, and a mega dynamic contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 for a much improved, purer black level and colour performance. The Samsung PN50B550 is designed with SRS TruSurround HD sound technology with a total output power of 30W (two right and left channel speakers) that provides an effect of digital surround stereo sound from its speaker system complete with 5-band Equalizer, rich bass, high frequency detail and clear dialog, auto volume adjustment and audio controls (with Balance, Bass and Treble function).
The Plasma TV feature Internet TV functionality where it enables users to access content by using Yahoo!, Flickr, and other online TV widgets through the screen. This feature uses either a wired or wireless Ethernet connection (with an adapter).
