The Samsung NC20 is a 12.1 inch full sized netbook that aims to strike a balance between mobility and convenience. It sports a slim-line chassis that is accentuated with unique colours, haptic styling and high quality components. Not only that, the Samsung NC20 is shielded by a robust Protect-o-Edge chassis which has undergone a series of 54 quality assurance tests to ensure reliability and durability. It measures 292.4 mm x 30.7 mm x 217 mm (W x H x D) in dimension and weighs approximately 1.5 kg.

The Samsung NC20 runs on a genuine Windows XP Home Edition that is packed with multimedia features designed exclusively for home computing. It is also built on the energy efficiency of the VIA C7 Nano processor that incorporates 65 nanometer process technology to offer up to four times the performance over previous generations within the same power range for the ideal blend of powerful performance and energy efficiency. Compared to small netbooks, the Samsung NC20 has a 12.1 inch LED wide screen display that has a full screen resolution supporting a WXGA 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Not only that, it also incorporates a normal-size notebook PC style keyboard that sports an ergonomic design with an optimised 18.5 mm key pitch to help lessen strain on your wrists. In addition to that, the keyboard is also coated with incredibly small silver ion powder using Silver Nano Technology to make it impossible for bacteria to live and breed for a more hygienic personal computing environment. It also supports simple data sharing with a host of advanced connectivity tools, including a 3 in 1 memory card reader, three built-in USB ports and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate). There is also an integrated 1.3 mega pixel digital motion camera for video-conferencing or live messaging and video chats. The Samsung NC20 runs on a VIA Nano U2250 processor of 1.3 GHz- 1.6 GHz, 800 MHz and VIA VX800 main chipset. It has up to 1 GB of DDR2 system memory and one SODIMM memory slot. In terms of graphics, the Samsung NC20 incorporates VIA VX800 Chrome HC3 DX9 3D engine graphic processor with shared graphic memory. As for multimedia, the Samsung NC20 has HD audio sound with EDS sound effect, AVStation Now Play, two 1.5 watts speakers and an integrated digital motion camera. The Samsung NC20 also has options of up to 80 GB/ 120 GB/ 160 GB capacity on its SATA HDD of 5400 rpm. In/Out ports consist of VGA, headphone-out, microphone in, internal microphone, three USB 2.0 ports, 3-in-1 multi card slot that supports SD, SDHC amd MMC, and DC-In power port. For security purposes, the Samsung NC20 incorporates McAfee Virus Scan trial version, Kensington Lock Port, Samsung Recovery Solution III and BIOS Boot Up Password as well as HDD password. The Samsung NC20 runs on either an AC Adapter of 40 Watts or a 6-cell battery. It is covered by a one year international collect and return warranty. The Samsung NC20 comes with pre-installed software including Samsung Magic Doctor, Samsung Update Plus, Easy Display Manager, Easy Battery Manager, Easy Network Manager, Easy SpeedUp Manager and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
