The Philips 46PFL9704 is an LCD display built to provide users with optimal performance in picture sharpness, motion and contrast and has features such as internet TV. The Philips 46PFL9704 is designed in brushed aluminum and sports a 46” screen. It is also available in 40” and 52” screen sizes with an optional “always straight” wall mounting system. It supports full HD (1920×1080p) display with Philips LED local dimming backlight technology (LED LUX), which delivers optimized contrast with deep black levels. The unit also features local contract picture processing, which makes the dark part of the image darker and the bright parts of the image brighter. This delivers optimized contrast with deep black levels and brilliance with 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The Philips 46PFL9704 also features 200Hz Clear LCD technology and an 1 millisecond response time which eliminates motion blur problem by creating motion sharpness for images with fast on-screen motion. It also has Perfect Natural Motion that estimates motion in the picture and corrects juddering movements in both broadcast and recorded movie material (e.g., DVD and Blu-ray Disc); Ambilight Spectra 3 technology, which identifies dominant on-screen colors and generates matched ambient lighting from three sides of the screen onto a rear wall; two 15W speakers with front firing dome tweeters integrated into the front of the TV that are covered by sound grilles to provide sound performance; volume bass and speaker boxes integrated into the back of the TV for deep and warm sound with high output; and Net TV, which enables internet access to a wide range of sites from a start page on the TV screen. The Net TV features access to YouTube, eBay, TomTom, MeteoGroup, Netlog, Funspot and MyAlbum plus a range of local partners. The Philips 46PFL9704 also features an integrated DVB-T/DVB-C/MPEG-4 HDTV receiver to receive high definition broadcasting where available, five HDMI 1.3a EasyLink inputs for connectivity between HDMI devices, and Wi-Fi, Ethernet and a PC network link (DNLA) enabling access to the PC or other networked devices to view videos, pictures and music.
