The Panasonic TC-P50X1 is a Plasma HDTV that is aimed users that wants to view sports, movies and gaming focused images during fast-moving scenes. The unit features 600Hz Sub-field Drive technology that lets users view full-HD motion and still images with 1,080 lines of resolution. The unit renders images the way the director intended, even in scenes where it’s difficult to achieve a proper balance of light and dark; Wide Color Viewing Angle with self-illuminating function that provides users with optimizes images from any angle and AR Filter which keeps images sharp, with minimal glare and reduces reflections from external light; and Viera Tools user interface, that provides users with navigation of photos or movies displayed as icons on the menu screen via the remote control. The TC-P50X1 also features a Game Mode which allows fast image response that optimizes video games experience when a game console is connected to the TV. This mode works anti-image retention (wobbling) as well.
