The Panasonic TC-P50V10 is an HDTV with Digital Cinema Color and VIERA’s wide color gamut which covers 120% of the HDTV color standard. This approaches the level of colors in cinemas and produces images with rich colors. It is also a THX Certified Display. THX reproduces movie images as the movie’s creators intended them. This allows the unit to provide users with improved experience of movies and recreates the audio and visual ambience that film makers intended. Other features on the Panasonic TC-P50V10 include VIERA CAST™ which allows users to enjoy Internet contents right on the TV. With VIERA CAST™ technology, users can enjoy online content such as videos, photos, weather and stock information through a Web interface that’s built into the TV. This feature is only available in the US; 600Hz Sub-field Drive technology which lets users view full-HD motion and still images with 1,080 lines of resolution which converts the motion in each scene into data with each frame practically displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce aftereffects; over 2,000,000:1* High Contrast (Native 40,000:1) with improved panel production process and the Real Black Drive system. A pre-discharge control system, the Real Black Drive system combines with NeoPDP technology to achieve next-generation black reproduction. The VIERA renders images just the way the director intended, even in scenes where it’s difficult to achieve a proper balance of light and dark; and 24p Cinematic Playback allowing users to enjoy cinema quality in the home. Images that are recorded onto movie film at 24 frames per second (fps) are reproduced at four times that speed by 24p Cinematic Playback, achieving film like reproduction than 2:3 pull down method. The Panasonic TC-P50V10 also features Wide Color Viewing Angle that lets users enjoy images from almost all angles in the room and because the plasma TV is self-illuminating, users are provided with optimal images from any angle where black areas do not fade, and colors look virtually the same. Other features on the Panasonic TC-P50V10 are AR Filter which keeps images sharp, with minimal glare, reducing reflections from external light and helps to produce clear images, creating images in a wide range of colors; BBE ViVA HD3D Sound which is a High Definition 3D Sound technology which integrates a 3Denhancement effect with BBE High Definition Sound. ViVA creates 3D sound effect from stereo speakers while preserving the clarity, definition, presence and texture for which BBE High Definition Sound is noted; VIERA Image Viewer that allows users to view full-HD images with the SD card slot. Users can watch and show photos and motion images right after they take them by inserting an SD card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. Users can also choose from among 3 types of background music and 4 display effects and view them on a large-screen HDTV with family and friends in 1920 x 1080-pixel high definition and a wide 16:9 aspect ratio; VIERA Link which allows interconnected operation of various AV devices using the VIERA remote control, by connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable; VIERA Tools user interface that lets users navigate their way photos and movies by pressing a button on the remote control and icons on screen; and Game Mode which lets users enjoy quicker image response of video games when a game console is connected to the TV and also supports anti-image retention (wobbling).
