Panasonic TC-P50G10

The TC-P50G10 is an LCD TV that features VIERA CAST™ technology, which gives users access to online content such as videos, photos, weather and stock information through a Web interface that’s built into the TV. It is a THX® Certified display. THX reproduces movie images exactly as the movie’s creators intended them. Established in the 1980s by Lucasfilm, the THX Standard stipulates audio and video quality criteria for cinema environments. The overall aim was to improve the experience of cinema-goers and faithfully recreate the audio and visual ambience that film makers intended. VIERA meets the standards set by the THX Certified Display Program. The LCD TV also features VIERA Image Viewer™ where users can view full-HD images with the SD card slot. This lets users watch and show their photos and motion images right after they take them by inserting an SD card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. Users can also choose from among 3 types of background music and 4 display effects. They can be viewed on the large-screen HDTV with family and friends in 1920 x 1080-pixel high definition and a wide 16:9 aspect ratio. Other features on the TV include: 600Hz Sub-field Drive technology that lets users view superb full-HD motion and still images with 1,080 lines of resolution. For even greater clarity with motion images, Panasonic uses its own image-analysis technology. This technology converts the motion in each scene into data. And each frame is practically displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce aftereffects; over 2,000,000:1 High Contrast (Native 40,000:1) that incorporates an improved panel production process and the new Real Black Drive system. A pre-discharge control system, the Real Black Drive system combines with NeoPDP technology to achieve next-generation black reproduction. The VIERA renders images just the way the director intended, even in scenes where it’s difficult to achieve a proper balance of light and dark; Wide Color Viewing Angle that optimizes images even when viewed from any angle; AR Filter which keeps images sharp, with minimal glare as well as reduces reflections from external light. The TV also features VIERA Link™ which centralizes operation of various AV devices through one VIERA remote control, by connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable. The Panasonic TC-P50G10 also supports VIERA Tools on screen navigation, Game Mode with quick image response and anti-image retention (wobbling).

It supports HDTV display capability with 1080p, 1080i and 720p output, EDTV display capability of 480p, Infinite Black/Over 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (40,000:1 native), 16:9 aspect ratio, 2,073,600 (1,920 x 1,080) native resolution and color support, 0.576 x 0.576 mm pixel pitch, 1080 lines Moving Picture Resolution, 6,144 equivalent shades of gradation and features Normal, Zoom, Full, Just, H-fill for TV/AV modes aspect controls. The Panasonic TC-P50G10 also features 4:3 aspect ratio for full PC mode, Progressive Scan, 24p Playback (2:3), Deep Color, x.v.Color, THX Mode, Motion Adaptive 3D Y/C Digital Comb Filter, 3D Color Management, Sub Pixel Control, and Motion Pattern Noise Reduction.

Audio
The TC-P50G10 supports two full-range left and right speakers with an audio output of 20W with 10% total harmonic distortion (THD), 150 Hz – 16 kHz frequency response at 6 ohms speaker impedance. These speakers also support Surround Sound.
