The Magellan RoadMate 1470 is an ultra-thin compact portable global positioning device designed with piano-black plastic case and OneTouch menu feature for accessing instant personalized bookmarks of favourite places, combined with a 4.7-inch WQVGA colour touch screen for easy viewing and enhanced GUI (Graphic User Interface) display. It also comes with 6 millions of  preprogrammed and searchable Points of Interest (POI) that uses the QuickSpell feature (with SmartCity) to help you do your navigation with turn-by-turn voice instructions, searching for address and city, along with spelling checker capability. This GPS gadget is fitted with an internal speaker, the AAA TourBook, highway lane assist, WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) and EGNOS technology in order for it to achieve an accuracy margin of at least 3 meters or up to 5 meters, multi-destination routing, and also the SayWhere text-to-speech feature that enables users to hear the name of the street in any direction thus giving you advanced reaction on when to make the next turn. The Magellan RoadMate 1470 offers a large screen display for showing the location, route, distances to the next turn, arrival time to the specific destination, and surrounding Points of Interest feature. Along with its easy to use menu options and user interface, it also comes with the advanced QuickSpell feature that can provide users with an intelligent search addresses and Points of Interest, plus displaying a simple list of available locations through the system. It even doubles up as spell checker for any destination name that you type with a just a few wording on the screen.
