The Magellan RoadMate 1470 is preloaded with maps and points of interest for the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. There is a OneTouch favourites menu that allows you to instantly access personalized bookmarks of favourite places. Not only that, there is also a AAA TourBook that provides ratings and descriptions on AAA approved places to stay, play, dine and save, as well as a highway lane assist that points the right exit out. It also features AAA Member Roadside Assistance that provides access to a toll-free member service number for assistance in finding an AAA approved tow truck or repair shop, as well as shows your exact GPS location in order to provide precise information to your location. Other than that, there are also highway lane assist signs which show highway signs that point you in the right direction when approaching interchanges and exits. The Magellan RoadMate 1470 can also help you narrow your address and city searches via QuickSpell with SmartCity for destination entries. The Magellan RoadMate 1470 also features multi-destination routing with route optimization that lets you plan your trip with multiple stops to optimize a trip for the most efficient route. The millions of points of interest (POIs) help you easily find gas stations, restaurants, ATMs, coffee shops and other while the highway exit POIs search shows gas stations, restaurants, hotels and more near upcoming highway exits. The POIs can also be represented by their respective logos with branded POIs. Not only that, you can also select the shortest distance, fastest time, most use of freeways or least use of freeways with the customizable route method. Other features include address book for creating and storing contact information, auto nightview to adjust your screen colour and contrast for easy night viewing, automatic re-route in case of missed turns, and rechargeable batteries for the freedom to drive wireless or with the engine turned off.
