Intro
The LG 55LH90 is a 55-inch LED LCD design HD ready TV with high dynamic contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 delivered via its XD Engine, a high brightness level of 500cd/m2, plus it comes with a resolution of 1920-by-1080-pixels for enhancing its picture quality. It also has the 240Hz TruMotion Technology processing system which is designed to make images more stable, refreshes an image at 240 frames per second, and reduced blurring especially on fast moving scenes. In terms of sound quality, the LCD uses the SRS TruSurround sound technology that provides a digital surround stereo sound from its speaker system and Invisible speaker. The LG 55LH90 is available in glossy black frame surround with blue-tinted stand stalk and it sits on a stand that gives it a versatile swivel function. It also comes with multi-lingual display menu which consist of English, Spanish, French and Korean languages.

Features
The LG 55LH90 features a screen size of 55-inch wide screen LCD (TFT active matrix technology) and resolution of 1920-by-1080-pixels (HD ready) combined with peak brightness of up to 500cd/m2 for producing clear picture quality with real effect. It also uses a full array of LED technology backlights for controlling the level of brightness in producing amazing clarity and colour details which displays more natural picture, while its Intelligent Sensor automatically optimizes any images according to the current lighting conditions of the room. Besides that, it also incorporates LG’s propriety XD Engine picture processing technology where it brings together a range of picture processing enhancements focusing on improving the panels operation in two distinct areas. Its input signal improves the quality of the incoming feeds, while the panel itself improves on the presentation of the feeds. The LCD TV comes with a 240Hz TruMotion processing system that definitely plays a part in reducing stutter and flickering over motion-packed images. LG also uses the Dejudder processing on this LCD which offers two strengths of Dejudder, Low and High, along with a separate Real Cinema function that works accordingly with 1080p/24 sources such as Blu-ray player.
The LG 55LH90 is designed with SRS TruSurround XT sound technology with a total output power of 20W that provides an effect of digital surround stereo sound from its speaker system, Dolby® Digital 5.1 Decoder, plus the Invisible speaker, audio controls (with Balance, Bass and Treble function), Smart Volume Controller and multiple sound mode such as Clear Voice II and AV Mode II (Cinema, Sports, Game). It comes with a much improved infrared remote control with backlit buttons and more spacing between keys. There is also a Smart Energy Savings button called “Energy Saving” that directly accesses the said control and a little energy saving graphic. This Energy Savings setting reduces the backlight, light output along with wattage consumed. Other features include the Picture Wizard function that uses internal test patterns which allows you to perform basic calibrations of the controls such as brightness, contrast, colour, tint, horizontal or vertical sharpness, and also backlight. The settings will be saved onto the Expert1 picture memory slot for your choice of inputs. In addition, it also has a THX picture preset which offers improved accuracy of pictures, TV tuner to cater for reception of NTSC, ATSC, and Clear QAM system, 2.4ms Response Time (GTG), Super IPS Panel, V-Chip control, Secondary Audio Program (SAP), Parental Channel Lock function and it also has Closed Caption capability.
The LCD TV measures at 54.1-inch in width, 17.9-inch in depth, 38.0-in height and it weighs in at 86.4 pounds. It is also designed according to standard compliant with EPA Energy Star 3.0 and ISFCCC. In terms of connectivity, the LCD is fitted with four HDMI ports (with three on the back and one on the side), two component-video inputs (at the back panel), an AV input with composite video, an RF input for antenna or cable, an RGB-style analog PC input, an optical digital audio output, SIMPLINK connectivity, plus an RS-232 port for custom installations. In addition to the four HDMI port, a second AV input with composite video reside at the side panel and also a USB port for displaying digital photos and playback of MP3 music and DivX files.
