The LG 50PS60 is a 50” Class 1080p Plasma HDTV which is THX® certified that aims to provide the consumer with image quality and an immersive movie, broadcast and gaming experience. It is a Full HD 1080p resolution HDTV with almost double the pixel resolution that provides sharper details. The HDTV features Picture Wizard which is a self-calibration function which provides on-screen reference points for key picture quality elements like black level, color, tint, sharpness and backlight levels, taking the guesswork out of picture adjustments and does away with purchase of a separate calibration tool. With a guidance program, users can control and calibrate with onscreen reference points and settings recommendations. The HDTV’s other features include AV Mode II which includes 3 AV Modes, preset to optimize picture and sound settings based on Cinema, Sports or Game content. Cinema Mode is pre-calibrated to the standard D65 standard white for a film like experience. Sport Mode enhances primary colors and Game Mode edge enhancement with greater black levels. The TV is customized to provide the best picture and sound experience with optimized picture settings based on content type.AV Modes can be set with a button on the remote control. Cinema Mode is pre-calibrated using ISFccc parameters for a film-like experience; 600Hz Sub Field Driving refresh rate technology that provides realistic movement in Sports, Action, Movies and Video games; 2,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio; an invisible speaker system fine tuned by renowned audio expert Mr. Mark Levinson. Concealed within the frame of LG’s HDTVs, the Invisible Speaker System creates an acoustic ‘sweet spot’ to completely surround users in deep, rich sound; Clear Voice II which enhances and amplifies the frequency range of the human voice by increasing the dialog range up to six positions to help keep dialogue audible when background noise swells. It can also decrease the dialog range by six positions so that special effects or soundtrack are more prominent.
