Reviews
“HP’s sophmore entry in the netbook category brings some exciting features into a more consumer oriented model but drops too many features unique to the older 2133 Mini-Note. The best feature of the HP Mini 1035NR has to be its spacious and well laid out keyboard. The larger 10.2-inch display is also one of the brightest on the market. They also made a great decision to include Bluetooth for wireless peripherals. It is too bad then that they made some big mistakes by dropping the number of peripheral ports, using a smaller and slower hard drive than their competitors and leaving the difficult to use trackpad.” (CompReviews, 2008)
“The HP 1035NR or HP Mini 1000, is a solid performer in it’s category. With very few shortcomings, the machine does what it’s supposed to do and does it well. wifi, bluetooh and webcam all perform with flying colors. The machine performs just as well as others using the new Intel Atom N270 processors. However, make sure you know what you are getting here. It’s a lite computing platform for web use, and general computing. You will not be doing any fancy 3D gaming on this or any other netbook. It comes with Windows XP Home. I believe there is an optional Linux version as well with a simplified UI frontend. If you’re in the market for a lite, sleek, and well equipped netbook, give this HP a look. It may just be what you need.” (PlanetX64, 2008)
“As you can see from the ratings, this is an impressive device. And it comes with HP’s reputation for making durable, high-quality portable devices – they’re one of the best in the business at this. And the price compared to features makes this product an excellent value for the money. Highly recommended if you are in the market for an ultra-portable PC that’s actually usable for everyday needs.” (ElectronicsMe, 2009)
