The Garmin nüvi 275T is a GPS device that comes preloaded with maps for both North America and Europe and turn-by-turn directions that call out streets by name. The 275T comes with lifetime traffic and hands-free calling to simplify life on the go. The nüvi 275T’s intuitive interface poses two questions to a user: “Where to?” and “View Map.” Touching the color screen allows users to look up addresses and services and get voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions that speak street names to their destination. It comes preloaded with detailed City Navigator® NT street maps for both North America and Europe, over 6 million points of interest (POIs), 2-D or 3-D maps and smooth map redraw rates as they navigate. Its digital elevation maps show shaded contours at higher zoom levels, giving users a big picture of the surrounding terrain. In addition, nüvi 275T accepts custom points of interest (POIs), such as school zones and safety cameras and lets users set proximity alerts to warn them of upcoming POIs. The The Garmin nüvi 275T also features HotFix™ satellite prediction, Bluetooth® wireless technology with a built-in microphone and speaker for hands free calls, by pairing it with a compatible Bluetooth phone and talk hands-free through the 275T while staying focused on the road; touchscreen keypad dialing to make and answer a call; integrated FM traffic receiver that allows them to receive alerts about traffic delays and road construction that lie ahead on route. It is designed in a slim form factor that fits in a pocket or purse. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery allows users to use it for navigation by car or foot. With its “Where Am I?” emergency locator, users can find their own location by taping on the screen to get exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations and fuel stations. The nüvi 275T also includes travel tools such as a JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock, automatic time zone transition, currency converter, unit converter, calculator and more. With photo navigation, users can download Google® Panoramio™ pictures via Garmin Connect™ Photos website and navigate to them. The 275T is compatible with optional enhanced MSN® Direct content (subscription and receiver required) and our free Garmin Garage where users can download animated vehicles that show their location on the map. It also comes with Garmin Lock™, an anti-theft feature, and optional plug-in microSD™ cards such as Garmin Travel Guides for detailed data on attractions.

The 275T measures 3.9″W x 2.9″H x .8″D and supports a 2.8″W x 2.1″H, 3.5″ diagonal, 320×240 pixels resolution, QVGA color antiglare TFT with white backlight display and weighs 5.2oz. The device is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion that provide supports up to 4 hours of operation time, and has a high-sensitivity receiver and a RoHS version is available.

Maps & Memory:
The 275T also comes with features like basemap, preloaded transatlantic maps (with functionality that allows users to add maps), internal solid state built-in memory, accepts microSD™ card (not included) and provides up to 1000 waypoints/favorites/locations memory.

The 275T also features voice prompts (e.g. “Turn right in 500 ft.”) via its internal speaker, speaks street names (e.g. “Turn right ON ELM STREET in 500 ft.”), provides choice of route setup (faster time, shorter distance, off road), route avoidance that helps users avoid highways, tolls etc., Bluetooth® wireless technology that connects phone for hands-free calling, and is MSN® Direct compatible. The 275T is also FM traffic compatible (receiver and lifetime traffic is included with the unit), has speed limit indicator (displays speed limit for most major roads), features Where Am I? (that helps users find closest hospitals, police & gas stations, nearest address & intersection), ecoRoute™ (calculates a more fuel-efficient route), Custom POIs (which gives users the ability to add additional points of interest), is Garmin Garage™ vehicles and Garmin Garage™ voices compatible; has Garmin Lock™ (anti-theft feature) and a touch screen. The 275T also supports photo navigation (that allows users to navigate to geotagged photos), a world travel clock, currency and unit converter, calculator and picture viewer.

The 275T does not support voice-activated navigation, lane assist, 3-D building view, auto sort multiple destinations, XM® Navtraffic & Radio for U.S. compatible, Garmin Locate™, a Qwerty or ABC keyboard, MP3 player, audio book player, FM transmitter, headphone jack/audio line-out, remote control, dead reckoning, and is not motorcycle-friendly, trucking-friendly, geocaching-friendly or marine-friendly,

The 275T doubles as a USB mass storage device that is compatible with Windows® 2000 or later and Mac® OS X 10.4 or later.
