Intro
The Garmin nüvi 205W is a portable, affordable and wide GPS navigator device that works as your personal travel assistant. It leads the way with turn-by-turn directions and optional MSN Direct services to ensure punctuality and on-time information. The Garmin Nuvi 205W was announced early 2008. It comes with the upgraded features of its previous models. Upgraded features on this GPS device are a new processor, new map drawing and routing function; elevated maps; compatible with optional TMC traffic receivers and even MSN Direct service such as gas prices, traffic, local events, stocks, news, and weather. There’s the Garmin HotFix capability that can calculate and save satellite locations. It has the Geolocated Picture capability that enables users to download geotagged photos to this device and navigate to that particular place in the photos. That picture works with Google’s Panoramio photo sharing community and Garmin Connect Photos website. There’s the new feature from Garmin in this model which is the “Where am I?” option that can help in cases such as emergency cases and more.

The Garmin nüvi 205W is packed with millions of destinations and maps for the contiguous U.S., Canada or regional sections of Europe. There is a widescreen display for viewing map details, driving directions, photos and more in bright, brilliant colour. It is also sunlight-readable, measuring 4.3 inches diagonally, with readability from any direction. The Garmin nüvi 205W comes preloaded with City Navigator NT map data for either the contiguous U.S., Canada or one of the European region or country. To operate it, user need only touch the colour screen to enter a destination for turn-by-turn directions, 2-D or 3-D maps and smooth map redraw rates. There are also digital elevation maps which show you shaded contours at higher zoom levels for a bigger picture of the surrounding terrain. The Garmin nüvi 205W also accepts custom points of interest (POIs) such as school zones and safety cameras as well as lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs. There is also HotFix satellite prediction to calculate your position. Similar to the other Garmin nüvi 2×5- series, the Garmin nüvi 250W sports a sleek, slim design that fits comfortably in your pocket or purse. It runs on rechargeable a lithium-ion battery that makes it convenient for navigation by car or foot. In addition to that, the Garmin nüvi 250W also includes many other travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more. For security purposes, the Garmin nüvi 250 comes with Garmin Lock, an anti-theft feature. It is also compatible with the free Garmin Garage that allows you to download custom vehicles that show your location on the map. There is also a slot for users to plug in optional SD cards such as Garmin Travel Guides for detailed data on attractions.
