Fujifilm unveils new X100 pro compact

Good news for all those eagerly waiting for this camera; Fujifilm has gave us a little peek just before Photokina. The latter is set to launch tomorrow, but guess Fujifilm couldn’t wait a day more. The camera has a nice 1950s metal-and-leather body that sets a new meaning to photography. Fujifilm stated that the X100 pro compact would definitely suit those who are love taking macro or near-macro shots.

The vintage-styled Fujifilm X100 pro compact comes with a DSLR-size sensor in a retro design. The APS-C sized CMOS sensor uses Fujifilm’s EXR technology that helps to provide the camera with it DSLR-level light sensitivity. The camera comes with 23mm f2 prime lens.

The Fujifilm X100 has a hybrid viewfinder that can switch from electronic to optical coverage, based on the photographer’s choice. Fujifilm will launch the X100 compact camera early next year. For now, the price and date of release are not available yet.
