AT&T releasing HTC Surround, Samsung Focus & LG Quantum


Great news for all those who love AT&T’s service; the mobile network provider will be releasing three Windows Phone 7-based devices. When Microsoft launched its new operating system for phones on Monday, the Windows manufacturer also revealed that in the United States, there will be a total of five smartphones that will be launched, all of which work on Windows Phone 7.

AT&T will be releasing its share of Windows Phone 7 smartphones in the U.S. A total of five devices will be released here, which will be running WP7. Sprint and Verizon will also be releasing their share of Windows Phone 7 in the U.S starting early next year. All of these WP7 phones will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Three Windows Phone 7 devices will be released by AT&T, which are the HTC Surround, the Samsung Focus, and the LG Quantum. The HTC Surround comes with a 3.8-inch touch screen and is the first smartphone to feature include integrated Dolby Mobile and SRS surround sound speakers. The LG Quantum comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 3.5-inch screen. The Samsung Focus is the thinnest Windows Phone measuring in ay 9.9mm. It comes with a Super AMOLED touch screen and a 5-megapixel camera.
