The Asus Eee PC 900HA is a netbook powered by Intel® Atom™ processor and features an 8.9 inch widescreen, Super Hybrid Engine that manages power consumption and a hybrid of 160 GB storage and 10 GB Eee Storage online. The Super Hybrid Engine helps users optimize omputing power while on the move and provides them with 3 power management profiles: Super Performance, High Performance and Power Saving. The Engine maximizes system performance and extends battery life up to 5 hours (on XP operating system). Super Hybrid Engine Power-Saving mode is based on 40% LCD brightness, Wi-Fi off, BT off, and camera disabled. Actual battery life may vary based on product settings, usage patterns and environmental conditions. The netbook also features Hybrid Storage Options with 160 GB of storage that allows users to store photographs, multimedia files and documents with ease. There is also 10 GB Eee Storage online that allows users to access, drag and drop documents and multimedia files anytime, anywhere. This feature also allows users to share files with friends, family or colleagues. The Eee PC 900HA also features a built in 0.3 Megapixel Webcam with built in microphone that works synchronously with wireless internet options to provide web conference capabilities anywhere, anytime for business or leisure. The 8.9″ display screen size lets users view more on its 1024 x 600 pixel resolution output, like viewing a single A4 page without the need to scroll left or right for optimal reading and editing of documents. The Eee PC 900HA comes in both Microsoft Windows XP and Linux versions. The Microsoft Windows XP version provides a familiar Windows interface for experienced users – incorporating Windows Live features like Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Mail; and Microsoft Works for numerous office applications. The Linux version provides a user interface to accommodate both experienced and inexperienced PC users. With over 40 built-in applications, it offers dynamic computing to learn, work and play; while a fast boot-up time makes it ideal for optimal Internet access while waiting for public transport or taking notes on-the-go.
